Between You And Heaven: Deep Within Your Heart

That secret sin you think you've hid from God

The pleasure you partake of when you're hidden in the dark

The wickedness your led to which destroys your witness

That sacred cow you've tucked away deep within your heart

The thing that you may deny until it be found out

When your life is reviewed at the judgment

Beware, for there is nothing hid that shall not be revealed

Be sure of this and do not doubt your sin will surely find you out

What is this evil thing that could keep you out of Heaven?

It is the sin in your life that you have not repented of

It is your evil fruit, by which you are known

Seek and acknowledge your sin

Confess it and be cleansed and delivered

For the Lord shall reveal to those humble their sin

When they ask and seek to be cleansed

If they are willing to leave all for Christ's sake

Rev 21:8, 1 John 1:9

The Fool Is Keeping Company With A Wise Man

The fool speaks all his mind aloud

For everything he says he's proud

The wise first think and then they speak

They will be humble but not weak

The fool says this and that again

The wise man prays and says amen

The prideful man spoke a comment

He said it and seemed quite content

The wise man thought to answer back

He prayed this fool would get on track

And then he said with much concern

"If you don't change you'll surely burn"

Wrote this poem back in 2005 or so, there was more to it but the rest is not worthy to type.

Time

As I walk by the window eves

I see a tree with such green leaves

I know that time is passing by

Faster than a bird can fly

A day, a month, a year at last

It seems like just a day has past

The leaves are green, then red, then brown

At last they fall upon the ground

The trees now bare winter has come

The birds fly south to where the're from

(Except for some who are quite numb)

And now the spring time has arrived

The trees and flowers have revived

At once the heat of summers here

Let us pray we shalln't shed a tear

For God almighty reigneth here

Throughout all time the Saviour's near

If we just call to him sincere

This poem I wrote back around 2005-2006.
