Their Hell is Just

(10/12/2007, and the last line added 6/16/2008)

Their eyes are full of thorns
their hearts are full of lust
their soul is full of conflict
and their body groans with rust

The flesh is growing feeble
their mind turns to mush
they lay down cold and hungry
their loud complaints do hush

For they forsook their Saviour
and suffer now they must
the heat of day and cold of night
no shade, no cloths, their hell is just

Day in day out round and about
Onward! Doth the leader shout
to death to death beat all light out
the fear and dread the fires doubt
the grinding teeth and crushing bones
the beating of their souls with stones

Poem by Candle Light

I actually did write this by candle light...(11/3/2005)

I sit and write by candle light
it is still and quite what a peaceful night
I lay down to rest to prepare for tomorrow
beseeching the Lord that his strength I may borrow.

Troubles may cause my success to fail
but in the end good must prevail.

Pondering still of the meaning of this life I live
someday all truth shall be sorted out
like irregular particles separated through a sieve.

Then no longer will I be in doubt
of what this life is all about.

[ Now most Truth has been sorted out by a better understanding of the scriptures, and I know, at least generally what this life is about - it's about willfully and joyfully serving God whom I Love and fear. ]
