Escape The Rat Race: Be Saved By His Grace

This life is so fleeting
There’s so much competing
Like rats, hurrying
In a race, scurrying

Shopping for this
To give us such bliss
As we finish our lap
It’s time for a nap

No lasting happiness
Tomorrow’s more scrappiness
O how we long for
What seems to be lore

But it is to be had
And oh, aren’t we glad
When we’ve found what we need
That satisfies indeed

What wonderful grace
Bestowed on our race
From Heaven abouve
The purest of love

He came from heaven glorious
To earth so censorious
He acted in great love
As gently as a dove

But we all were so mocking
And utterly shocking
The guilt we all share
In his death and despair

For three days lay he
As dead as could be
But on that third day
Death could no more have its say

And on that bright morn
No time to forlorn
Christ is risen from the tomb
Rejoice, no more gloom

In Him we can find all
There is no need to stall
He takes us as we are
No need to be a star

And when heavenward bound
Even while on this cold ground
Warmed by his love
We can rise above

The cares of this life
Full of envy and strife
While we focus on His face
Saved by His amazing Grace

Made By Him And For Him: Therefore We Serve Him

Beautifully, intricately made
no need to ever be afraid
God made your big beak nose
your pear shape, your crooked toes
He sculpted you in your mother's womb
every worldly thought let Him consume
Until all and only for Him we live
our every gift and talent to give
In loving service to our heavenly King
who freed us from sin and every vain thing
For all of this world, it matters not
what clothes you wore, what grades you got
Only if you loved the Lord your God
and while on this earth His path you trod
So that one day in heaven you'll be
praising His name forever joyfully

Thy Word Is Truth

Thy word is truth, this every man should hear
O that the teachings of His word may reach their ear
Though men despise and seek to close their mind
'Tis in thy word that wisdom, joy, and peace I find

For thy Great Love is spread throughout thy word
And O great pity is for those who have not heard
The Blessings of thy Grace are full and rich
Thy goodness and mercies overflow every nitch

Calling to us is wisdom unfathomable
Thy wisdom is wide and deep and unsearchable
We glimpse it by thy Holy message
It's truth we should know in this and every age

Beginning and end thy works are declared
Thy Judgments we study to know and be prepared
The Word - our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
For by His blood the wrath of God has been sufficed

Live His Teaching Lost Souls Reaching

I look up to Heaven and see the Lord 1

To be there near Him is enough reward 2

The celestial beings around Him are singing 3

Their Glorious praises are so loudly ringing 4

The Glory of the Father on the throne 5

O what a sight and he is not alone 6

To His right sits Christ the Saviour 7

He is interceding for our bad behavior 8

One high priest, but all priests are we 9

Because of Him Justified we’ll be 10

When on His name we call our sins confessing 11

We will have life and no more be distressing 12

We cannot through our works merit salvation 13

Nor can we be saved by thoughts deep concentration 14

But by Faith we have great joy in our creator 15

For great mercy and grace to us he’s a relater 16

Knowing we have had so much forgiven 17

Our Love for Christ is great - new life we’re livin’ 18

Because we Love Him then we’ll live His teaching 19

By our example lost souls we’ll be reaching 20

A Time Despised: Rejecting The Saviour's Cries

A Battle rages for your soul
Do not let Satan have control
Your soul he'd love to take and grasp
To take you down with him at last

The Lake of Fire is prepared for him
If he has you then you'll swim
In a Lake of Fire by his side
It will not be a pleasant ride

Burn, burn, burn, your soul doth churn
O how for freedom you will yearn
O how that time you will despise
The time you rejected the Saviour's cries

The Saviour Cries do you here him now?
He cries Repent, Your head should bow
Believe my word trust in my grace
I'll take you to a sacred place

The place I dwell and reign on high
You shall be there and no more cry
With my shed blood to cleanse your sins
Being born again, new life begins

The wrath of God from you subsides
When on my name your soul relies
Believe me now the blessings await
Accept me and enter heaven's gate

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." - John 3:36

I was partially inspired to write this after reading through lots of chick tracts, such as This Was Your Life
